The technique of ageing an image does not have in itself to be historically accurate - as what often one is trying to do is give an impression, a theme or a style. The image of Josh Kemp here example are obviously modern as can be seen by the sunglasses and guitar - but the impression none the less is dated...unless close study is made - or you recently saw Josh live!!
